Happy New Year

Hey everyone!

I know I'm getting up the cruise updates slow, but they take quite a bit of effort to get up since the pics don't always co-operate and the internet isn't exactly fast.
I will finish writing them hopefully in the next week.

But for now I just wanted to wish all my readers a Happy New Year! ..before I have to rush off to work. :P
Go me, I clock out at midnight and at the time I clock out it's like "happy new year!". lol. How uneventful. Oh well. I wll have to make up for this new year another year. ;)

Enjoy 2011 everyone. I hope you all smile lots, learn and challenge yourself, be kind and find it a rewarding time in your life.

Talk next year! haha

Cruise Day 4

Grand Cayman day!

Our snorkelling was sadly cancelled due to rough seas, but we still had our island tour.
I was kinda glad since it was so cold and also it meant we had time to...shop!

The tour went to a place called Hell. Definately not the most exciting place. Actually it was just some random rock formation with a weird little gift shop right next to it. In the middle of nowhere. :/

After, we made a trip to the Botswains turtle farm. Those tutrls are MASSIVE. I got to hold a little one as well! Yay!

....and then there was Margaritaville!
Just because I could. Now, I know I the drinking age in NZ is 18 and its not new to me, but since I've been ver here I haven't be allowed to drink. I like my cocktails. But guess what? The drinking age is 18 in the Grand Cayman. :P Woop!
So I got to see what a Margaritaville was like. The place was pretty jolly, really.
After the one very strong (didn't know this when I ordered) cocktail I realised why I didn't drink much in NZ. Not onl did it taste odd, but it wasn't really satisfying and on top of that obviously I don't have a high tolerance for alcohol because I could feel the effects already!
The bartender was from Aussie! :P

And then there's more random stuff...

The shopping wasn't that great but it was an interesting excursion. We had to use tenders to get to and from the ship..

Oh my goodness and then it was... PIRATE night! So cool. We dressed up for our themed dinner (we saw the movie Tangled firsrt, though - love that movie!). After, there was a pirate deck party!! Love!

It was awesome how we were on the only cruise line able to let off fireworks!

...and I was most impressed by tonights towel animal!

What a fun night it was! I was also excited for Cozumel the next day!

Cruise Day 3

Today was a "day at sea". There were lots of fun things planned though!

We went and bought something from the merchandise shop so that we got a free bingo card and could participate in the Bingo game happening at 3.30pm. I hadn't played proper Bingo for money before so I learnt and since we did the manual way (my goodness its expensive to be lazy with a machine thing) we had to be fast. Alas we didn't win anything. But it was fun anyway. :)

Then we went for a swim which was fun but we ended up in the hot tub becuase it was kind of cold outside!

Then there was the musical called Twice Charmed. It was really pretty and very well done. :)

After, we were entertained by Dale K. Yay for comedians haha.

Dinner was at Anamator Palate and it was the formal night so everyone was dressed pretty. Even the napkins. :P

After dinner we enjoyed more adult comedian entertainment with Heath Hyche at Rockin Bar D. :) I became a part of the show though and it was both funny and embarrassing!!! But oh my goodness he does an awesome impression of Matthew McConaughey!!

...and of course we returned to a towel creation :) [elephant!]

Have a magical day!
I'm in grab n go tonight. -.- coooooldness. It's so coooooold. Not to mention someone broke our heater...
Last night I was on dining room. Argh those shifts go on foreverrrrr. I really am not a fan!

Cruise Day 2

We woke up to a beautiful Palo brunch. It was so yummy. You should have seen the selection!!!! They were willing to do anything for you!! examples:

My friend and I loved our server :)

...but by the way I only tried/nibbled everything. I didn't eat very much of what you see. Not a total pig, promise! :P

Today we got off in Key West.
A view from the ship:

We had an okay tour of the place, though it wasn't as good as other tours I've been on. Key West is pretty and has an interesting history. I got some Key Lime Lemonade mix...just because well, you have to choose SOMETHING 'Key Lime' flavoured if you go there. haha

Some of Key West:

..and then there is very random stuff like:

When we got back on the boat we rested for a bit before dinner.
I got to meet Tiana! ;)

...and Belle!

It was Lumiere's tonight and I was quite excited. It is a French style restaurant based on Beauty and the Beast.
The food quality was amaaaazing. Loved it.

The ship at night is so pretty...

We managed to check out some activities at Rockin Bar D before retiring to the room. :)

..and hurrah for towel friends!

Yay for another navigator telling us about all the fun things happening for the sea day ahead!

xx

...ps. another Xmas post below. Merry Christmas!!!
