Kia Ora!
Lots of things have been happening, like usual. :P
On my days off I had fun. :D
Day one I can't actually remember what I did but I think it was admin stuff. ...and I went to see the movie Bridesmaids. I actually thought that movie was pretty entertaining. It had an odd start and some scenes where kind of odd, but I'd probably give it about an 8/10. Oh my goodness -and it had an actor with an Irish accent in it! Love!!!
Day two I went to Blizzard Beach water park with 2 of my roomies. It was great fun! Very relaxing. It seems that even if you re-apply sunscreen every hour or so I still can't escape getting burnt! Annoying. At least it wasn't bad but my hair part is the worst. You can't really put sunscreen in your hair..?
On the bus to Blizzard:
After we had chilled out for a while they went to Wilderness Campground and I caught up with them later to see Hoop de doo Revue! This is a dinner/show and is quite crazy! The food is pretty good and I liked that we had unlimited drinks (and wine/beer etc, woo!).
Too bad our waiter was grumpy. ..and again with the cast members being treated as lesser guests! So aggrivating. Just cos we het discunts doesn't mean we should be treated differently than others! We work our butts off, if anything they should be all relaxed around us!
On the way home we made some new friends on the bus. They just started talking to me (again, what is with all these guys randomly starting conversations with me? I love it and wish it would happen at home but I won't be exciting and foriegn anymore. :( ) and funnily enough we saw them again at Star Wars Weekends (SWW). Nice to make new friends! They actually entertained me at work for about 30mins. Awesome. :D
I did a double the next day. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to pick up a shift at Mousgear. lol! I mean at least I experienced it but so glad I never have to work there again! It's way too crazy and the guests asked me waaaaay too many questions. I literally could more a few feet before being hit with another "excuse me..." question that I couldn't answer. I felt way out of my depth and totally clueless! It was terrible!
At least I learnt something new about how Disney works. :)
For Star Wars it was a nice change (I love having variety, it's awesome)one of the days I picked up a shift at Tatooine. I was thnking at the time, why did I deprive myself of a sleep-in again? But then after the shift I was super glad I got to do it. I got to work on an outdoor cart or 3hours (so much for "not long". lol). I quite enjoyed it. It was a nice temperature and it was a crazy busy cart!
I had a few problems, and the fact I was alone without a working phone or anything was bad, but I managed to overcome that and have an enjoyable time.
Not to mention I got to watch Jedi training anf battles and even the Star Wars parade (awesome costumes)....whilst getting paid! ha! How awesome. How many jobs can you say get get to do awesome things like that with, huh?
When I worked inside the shop after my break I had an equally fun time. I felt like I could totally "play the part". I said "may the force be with you" and told little kids to be careful with their lightsabers because they were dangerous. ...and I even told them to stay away from the dark side. haha. It was fun!
Tatooine costume:
I am learning more abot Star Wars. Sloooowly learning....
Want to have a Star Wars movie marathon!!!!
Last night at Star Wars the time went crazy slowly. It was soooo painful. Everyone wanted ERs but they wouldn't give any more out after a certain time. I was like...really!? 3 hours and I have nothing to do? How do I still myself going insane!?
The time seemed to slow down. We literally were all doing nothing and freezing. We had straightened every possible thing we could. We had to attempt to look busy but after a certain point we gave up because it was crazy that we had to be there with nothing to do.
The only good thing that made it somewhat worthwhile was the reward at the end of the night. :D Not sure if I am allowed to mention it here but let's just say it was cast exclusive and to do with a ride. ...and rather fascinating! It's one thing about being a cast member that rocks. Love getting to see unusal things guests don't get to see!
Today I got to hang out with one of my friends before work. It was nice. :)
Work was actually good. Can you believe it? No complaints about this CBR shift. Why?
1. I got to stock to my own pace and do whatever I felt like
2. got to listen to awesome country music in the stock room
3. met a new cast member who was pretty cool and can DANCE!
4. actually enjoyed doing the CBR dancing magical moment. Yes, somehow the macarena etc was enjoyable
5. got good news - managed to get the 1st off! (shift give away was denied on the Hub originally) ===> Going to MIAMI! Hells YEAH! :D
6. got to see some F&B mnagers I hadn't seen in a long time
Seeing the managers I hadn't seen in ages was awesome! I was so excited. :)
I have come to the conclusion that [pretty much] all Disney managers/co-ordinators/zone checkers are wonderful. I love them all. I wish I could stay longer just to see their smiling faces every day. They truely make me enjoy my job more. ^_^
Miami on the 1st (and I got in before the cut off do get a free t-shirt and it wa cheaper. yuss!)
Busch Gardens on the 2nd.
On a random note: I am going to miss being somewhat of a guy magnet. In NZ I never get so many guys talk to me (if any, really lol). Especially good looking ones. My goodness(like at Blizzard a nice looking lifeguard who knew who I was and I had no idea who he was! lol!). Wish I could stay. Love the attention. haha
Enjoying the last of my time here. Super sad it has to end! Love the people (though I love my NZ friends too <3 ) and the experiences and it has been so awesome so far.
SO glad I took the leap and tried it. Through the good and the bad it has made me a better person. :)
I love how it it 2.30am and I am still awake.
xx
p.s Belated blog happy birthday shoutout to my biggest blog fan Richard. ;) You're awesome.

Must.do.everything!
Yes, I have a lot of blogging to do!!!! Let's just say this blog will show you how busy I have been and why I haven't blogged til now!
Ok so here goes nothing...
Right now I have 4 different costumes in my [shared]closet.
CBR 1 (FOH - front of house)
CBR 2 (stock)
Star Wars
Mouse Gear
..and I just returned my Hollywood Studios one today! :P
Out of the above my fav is my Star Wars one, simply because I love working events and this one is no exception.
But let's do this in some form of chronological order.
Last time I blogged I was about to go to the baseball game.
I loved it! I went to the event not knowing too much about baseball, abd I left knowing quite a bit! I actually was pretty lucky because the guy who sat next to me on the way over (omg I was so excited to see te Gulf of Mexico - didn't know the indoor field in Tampa was by the sea!!!) became my guide and friend. :)
He (guys randomly start to talk to me here. It's seriously odd and I bet it won't continue in NZ....) told me how the game worked and about the teams and players and I found out he even knew one of the Yankees players personally. Crazyness...
The game was pretty interesting. Probably one of the more interesting sports I have seen. Not sure if it was just because it was all new to me and I was soaking it in, but I wouldn't mind seeng another game. :) I liked the atmosphere (and being in one of the few indoor fields in the country was pretty neat too) and the game actually had a strange amount of strategy to it.
Got to see about 4 home runs. :D It was pretty neat. I was so thrilled to see one of the most well known teams too (Yankees). Not to mention I even know the best hitters now (that's right, what do ya' have to say about that?! ;) ) haha.
UFO stadium...
We got home at around 11 but it was okay because I could SLEEP IN the next day(so magical).
...and after I slept in I did some errands (like washing) and then I went to see a movie called Something Borrowed. It was okay. Not the most noteworthy of chickflicks though. Probably would only give it about a 6.5/10. I guess because it kind of irrtated me since it was about cheating and somehow made it seem fine and like it ends up okay once you have figured out what is what, and that things out so perfectly all the time. :S Very odd.
On the 19th I hung out with my roomie until it was time for Shrek the stageshow! I can't even remember what we did....but the musical was pretty neat. Weird thng was the Lord Farquaad was the funniest character (mainly because he was played by a guy who walked onhis knees and then got up to jump etc ).
The difference to Wicked was pretty obvious. The performance and special effects, plus the script, were no-where near as entertaining. ...but putting that aside it was pretty descent.
I got a green drink (lime) and drew in green to celebrate. haha..
STAR WARS!
So Star Wars weekends started onte 20th. I was super excited for it. I was also kind of scared that I wuld pass out since I had a 10hour shift first day and I was told it would be craaaazyness, especially on registers.
I got there and it was a 3hour wait to pay for merchandise (and 12 registers avaliable)! Wooooah. So they weren't kidding.
There was even a line of cast waiting to get assignments/tasks and ONE computer. I had a small brain explosion when I saw that there was only ONE computer. I mean what if it crashed? :S
For ages I felt kind of useless because they didn't have a specific job to assign me to. But I had a lot of energy and enthusiasm. So when I was sent to collectables (love it there because you get to be around all the rare and expensive merch) I decided to make myself useful (weird how I try so hard to work, huh?) and went through all the LINES of people (getting stepping on and pushed etc) asking what they were looking for and giving guests information. I felt like I was being attacked in all directions...but you know what?! I LOVED it. The time flew because I felt so useful and since I had so much energy I moved around A LOT.
A lot of the cast were looking at me weird as if to say why are you trying so hard?? but I didn't care because I was being helpful and loved the adrenaline rush.
Of course it had its bad parts like the guests who were complaining about waiting in line for "2 hours, I am making a complaint!" but I just tried to comfort them and agree with them (even though it's like, uh if you came any other day of Star Wars you would never have this wait, but you came today to get the exclusive stuff that EVERYONE else wants too...and you're probably doing this regardless of your unhappiness so that you can go home and sell it on Amazon for 5x what you bought it for!!!).
I loved the guests who thanked me a lot though. They made me feel like I was appreciated. :]
In the afternoon I was sad that the rush died down, much to my disappointment (I bet the leaders were doing a happy dance though). ...and for the next few days it was a steady stream of people.
I got moved around to stock and collectables and registers (only for a few hours though) and theeeen I was put on BYO. Which stands for Build your own LIGHT SABERS. :P
For the first 30 or so mins I was like, uh how am I responsible for teaching little kids how to make light sabers when I epically fail at making them??
But, like many things at Disney, I learnt quickly.
Now I quite enjoy it. I mean the little kids who think they know it all and jam parts together that don't go together get on my nerves, and when I get attacked by a mob of little kids going "can you show me? can you show me? *shoves parts in my face* it's a little overwheling...but I enjoy it for the most part. Especially when the parents are like "ask Kimmie nicely if she could please show you how to make one" and "thank Kimmie for showing you! Can we take a picture?" Not to mention there are some awesome guests that help me practice my "stay in character" part of the job. For example, one guy was asking which lightsabers where the good ones and which weren't (somehow I had enough Star Wars knowledge to make a comment - so weird how people think you are an expert lol). Also they asked how long it took to become a master of the light saber and I played along saying "oh, years. Takes much skill and practice" hahaha. So much fun.
Not to mention you can duel with light sabers when there's no-one around. :P
I got to meet some of the characters, like C3PO and Leia and Luke. Pretty neat. :)
Let me just say, there is a LOT about Star Wars to learn and know. It's crazy. ...and the funny thing is that most of the people who work Star Wars have no clue just like me! Which means we are in trouble whn people ask stuff like "do you have anything in a wookie? What about a jawa?" *blank face of utter blankness...*
I guess it makes me do some research! I now can say that I proudly know a little about what those odd looking creatures are!
One thing about the first few days of Star Wars that was a little hard on the body was the early shift starts. Having to wake up at 4 or 5am is just horrible. Not to mention the sucky bus system does not work well with that time either. To get to work I had to get a bus to get a bus.
Which created a nightmare for me one morning (one of my roomies was my saviour though). It was around 5.30am and I was at the bus stop (beautiful and warm - going to miss that about FL). I suddenly realised I didn't have my ID. I had a panic attack because it meant I couldn't get on a bus and I couldn't get into my apartment complex. ARGH. At that time in the morning it was NOT good news at all. Luckily, my good sense made me ring a romate who I knew was awake since she had an early shift too.
By some miracle she managed to find my ID in the dark.
The only thing was that by the time she ran to give me my ID, the bus I was meant to catch had left. I was stuck in an awful position that looked dreary and dark. I was going to be late for work. :(
But I held onto the glimmer of hope that I somehow found inside me. I got the next A bus to Vista. I asked for help, and the guy offered to get a driver to drive me there. Except in true fashion for this company, they took so long and the next E bus that I could take arrived before the plan could come into place. So much for that, I thought.
This bus would get me to the drop off place 15mins before my shift...and I had to get to the other side of the park after going through the cast center.
Ok.
Challenge.
I sprinted to Jabba's Hut. ...and somehow made it with about 8 mins spare. I felt gross because it was so humid and running in that was awful, but I was happy with myself and the day was so much better without a scar on my record card!
Onto the CBR side of things.
I am-coping-. Trying to see the positives nd be cheerful...but I really don't like working there so the time goes by so slooooowly.
Forgot what I was meant to meant to do for HOH (heart of house) shifts but luckily a lovely cast member was there to help instruct me.
A few nights ago the friend I made at baseball hung out with me in the evening. It was nice to just chill out with a friend. :) Then I made dinner and he thought I was a good cook so that made it even better! :P
Yesterday I did a 14hour work day.
Got up at 4am to get to CBR. Did that shift (8hours). Caught a guest bus to Hollywood Studios. Waited 2ish hours and then did 6 hours there. Wow was I tired. I could barely walk! Was so happy to go home and SLEEP.
When I got up this morning (after a wonderful sleep in) it was like my feet were swollen. Took a while for me to be able to walk normally. Crazy how I do this to myself, but it gives good paychecks and means I can do fun things. :)
Today (woah, I am actually up to the present) I went to Publix with my roomie. This was not in my schedule for today but it's always fun to have a friend to go shopping with and I figured that I could do with a few items.
Of course that failed on me, because as usual I bought so much stuff and could barely carry it home! Darn those 'buy one get one free' deals!!!
Funny thing was that on the way back (man I havegorcery muscles - who needs the gym?!) I said "wouldn't I be in trouble if a bag broke?!" ...and sure enough one did. Good thing my roomie helped out. :)
When we got back I basically collapsed for a while..
After I recovered I decided to go out and do something, since it was my day off, after all.
When I went to the front office to collect some mail (yay for mail!) I saw an ad on the counter. It mentioned an audition for a Disney College Programme video. ...and it was today!

But of course I couldn't.

Actually, it was pretty easy. All I had to do was fill out a form and then do a 5min interview.
They let us know by e-mail if we got accepted. So who knows? But 13 is my fav number and that is what I was given so maybe it's a sign!!

Ergh. Was given mandatory "OT" (overtime) at CBR next week. How awful is that? Are they doing this to torture me? Bet the schedulers know how I feel... They ALWAYS know how I feel. lol.

CBR nightmare
Today was a mixed bag. It started off bad but then got better as the day went on.
I had to wake up at 3.50am. It was horrible. Made me miss Gogo shifts where I got a few extra hours of sleep.
I had to get a bus to get the shuttle and then wait till the bus driver decided to leave (he took his time and it freaked me out somewhat since we didn't have a huge timeframe).
When I finally got there it felt so weird. Eerie. Unwelcoming. It was like I dind't belong there and I had the urge to turn around and go home.
Of course from the get-go I could see that CBR still had it's problems, and the tension between areas still exists.
When I finally clocked in I realised I had no idea what to do. I hadn't stocked CBR in months and so had to keep asking what I was meant to do.
I looked at the time so often and was so relieved when my shift was over. I was holding in so many emotions the whole time. I was tired and upset and frustrated and angry and reeeeeally didn't want to be there. I don't know how much longer I can stand CBR. I don't care if I have to give away all my shifts there are pick up shifts on the EHH. At least I could have more seleciton and variety. Plus I could do more fast pace shifts.
Anyway, so I was kind of down (call it post F&G depression if you will) after my shift so decided to do something to get my mind off it.
I dumped my stuff at home and then headed off to Vista. After having some Frappucino therapy I headed to Hollywood Studios. Although I was by myself I had a surprisingly good time!
Firstly I went on Tower of Terror because it was only a 10min wait (actually, less cos being a single ride has it's perks haha). Love that ride - and it went down first instead of up, which is rarer! :P
I then was wondering aorund and noticed that Star Tours had a wait time on it. Curious, I found out that they were having a preview. So I took the opportunity to ride it before the huge mobs! It was pretty cool (nice effects and additions) but I am glad I only waited 25mis for it instead of what they are forcasting the wait to be (6hours I heard)!
Then I went on Rock n Roller with my fast pass. To my surprise I found out that the music has been changed!!! It's still aerosmith but it's a less intense song. I prefer the old one to be honest...
I was curious as to the wait time for Toy Story Mania was, so headed over there. The park wasn't too busy so I figured the wait time couldn't be overly outrageous. It was 60mins. I thought, well, I doubt I'll get it much less, and fast passes are hard to come by unless you are an early riser...so I decided to wait it out.
I waited in the stand-by line and admired all the work/decorations. They have put a lot of effort into it! It's very nice. I was kind of dreading the long wait, but about 15mins in a miracle occured! A cast member asked for a party of 2, and when no-one said anything I was like "I'm a party of 1?" ...and she let me join the fastpass line and get straight on the ride. :D Sooooo awesome.
The ride was pretty fun I'd have to say! I wasn't the best at it but I am sure with practice I could get better. :)
I was hungry after all the awesomeness so tried an apple crumble and it was amazing! Hadn't had one in ages and I enjoyed it so much!
When I went to costuming to find out about Star Wars I found out that we are only allowed our costumes for 3 days! How annoying is that?! So every week I have to get costumes and hope they have them in my size/have hats and ties (today they had none!!!). Seems a bit un-organised. I swear no-one knows anything about what is happening!
Tomorrow I have another early shift at CBR. :/ ergh. ....so I will go to bed now. ....but at least I have the Yankees/Rays baseball tomorrow! :)
xx

Farewell Flower and Garden :'(
Kia Ora!
Today was my last shift at Flower and Garden. I was super sad that it was actually over. I mean as much as Gogo shifts drie me crazy, if I put that aside I have loved everything else. Seriously, it has ben wonderful. I am so happy I got to be a part of the special cast grop who worked it.
I think mostly I will miss the co-ordinators. They were so fun and happy and humorous. Won't forget them. Especially you, Dave. :)
I also will miss the vendors. I made good friends wth them and enjoyed my shift more so when I got to see them. :)
A F&G cast member posted this. You can see how much of a tight-knit group we were how lovely the co-ordinators were. I don't know if this link will work but let me know. :)
Even though it's over and I am sad, I am just very appreciative that I got the opportunity to participate. It made me happy. I got paid to be with amazing people, help (mostly) lovely guests and play with hula hoops and jump ropes. ...and give out mickey stickers. ...and talk about NZ and my programme. Got to be some of the best and easiest money 'll ever get. Like Food and Wine, really (waah! Going to miss not being able to do that this year!).
In other topics though:
I remembered I forgot to talk about the Princess party. Here are some pics:
We had such good food. Omg. :P It was a lovely little quiet gathering. Pretty relaxing realy. No drama. Loved the fairy bread. Such a blast from the past but I still think it's awesome!
My roomie introduced me to some new music. I am enjoying it at the moment. Here's one of the songs:
Yesterday I did a double (13hours). My first shift was a Flower and Garden and the 2nd was at the Boardwalk. I only had a 2.5hour leeway. Which sememed fine, and it would have been had I gotten my facts right before going!
It started raining heavily at the end of my F&G shift. I dodged the rain and went to cast services to have shower. It was wonderful and I felt better.
I then proceeded to get the cast bus to the front of the park where I planned to get a guest bus to the resort.
Little did I know no such thing existed!
So I had to re-enter the park and practically run to Boardwalk! I was so afraid of being late and getting a pont. I was super mad at myself.
When I finally got there (thankfully it was close because the boat wasn't going due to thunderstorms!) I went into one of the shops and asked for help. I had no idea where to go before my shift. ...plus I wanted to have another shower because I felt horrible after the uge dilemma getting there.
My shift went okay. I was a floater but I pretty much just stocked. It sucked working so late becuase I was so tired and had to get up early today, but somehow I managed.
Loved the costume. It was cute. :)
Star Wars weekends coming up. Got some interesting shifts..
You know what? They should just call me Event Girl. I love doing all the events and festivals!
Arrrrrgh. CBR tomorrow.
:(
:(
:(
...and I have to get up at 4am. Which reminds me - got to go to bed! Night!
My wrist hurts so baaaaad. Not sure what I did to it, It seems sprained.
Flower and Garden forever. :)
Love my roomie :P

This is Kimmie, go ahead.
Hey ya'll,
So my ICP graduation is coming up on June 23. I get a cool mickey hat (ears), which I am going to embroider with some words...which I will come up with soon. :P I have some ideas....
I also have the Yankees/Rays baseball and the Shrek musical coming up.
Flower and Garden ends in a few days. Super sad. We had a gathering at Beaches and Cream last night and it was really nice. The zone checkers were so adorable. :)
Had a problem with the apartment locks being changed! Stupid policies! Gah. Had to wait an hour outside at security yesterday! Was so mad and hot and tired from coming straight from work!
Luckily I managed to get a key before I went to work this morning.
After work today (Germany) I went to swim in the pool. It was supr nice. I think I may have to o it more often!
Jon from F&G left today. :(
Got a double shift tomorrow. Working at the Boardwalk after my Gogo shift. Should be interesting. Probably boring but at least I get to wear an interesting new outfit. :]
I also got approval for June 2 off so I get to go to Busch Gardens. :) Yaaaaay!
Star Wars.
CBR
so close....
The closer it gets to the time I have to leave the more stressed I am. I am relying on Hall people in NZ to try and help me sort things out but they hardly reply and so it makes my life stressful! I even told them my situation and they told me what they needed. I sent it and still nothing has happened. :S
I have to try and figure out contents insurance? I have no idea how to do that. :S *so overwhelming!*
Right. Off to bed!

It's times like these when...
....I want to sad badly remind everyone:
not to sweat the small stuff!
And according to the book title, it's "all small stuff".
Ok. So lately there have been tensions.
Well, actually I only really noticed them today, to be honest.
Things blew up. Really badly. The roomate sitch is kind of fragmented at the moment, and I think it's going to get worse.
Sigh.
I am just so sick of drama. I just want to live in a household where things aren't crazy. I thought that's what it was like in this apt up until now. :S
I just want to remind people of the fact that some things are kind of trivial. There are far more challenging things you'll encounter in your life.
Waaah. :( Why can't people get over their differences, try to work things out and get along? I mean, yes, I have had bad living situations before but I have always kept my composure and either ignored it or tried to get along to some degree. :/
I jut feel like this situation is kind of like an American High School movie. Thank goodness I went to an all girls school and wasn't in the middle of huge drama, that's all I can say. I am not good at handling drama!!!!!
...the sad thing is that my roomie has put so much effort into the Princess party tomorrow (and I have helped as much as possible) and I feel bad hat this has proabably put a downer on it. She has put so much effort into it. I feel bad that this has to happen right now.
I wish things could work themselves out but one girl is even moving out. Which makes me really sad. I think we are a pretty nice apartment.
IN other news....
Today was a huge shopping and girly day. Tomorrow am not sure whatI want to do. ...the party is in the evening/afternoon though. Hope it's not too ruined... :(
Ok that's all for now. I'm going to bed. Super sad about the living sitch though.

Events coming up
Why hello there!
Today I got my new schedule. It showed me how interesting my next week is going to be! Yes, I have a Gogo Flower and Garden shift, which is the last day of Flower and Garden (it's saying good-bye to me you see? I wouldn't have it any other way, lol!).. After that I have 2 floorstock shifts at my old location, Caribbean Beach (CBR). I love to floorstock, but that's seriously odd to me that I got that! Not only do the more senior cast usually get the floorstock shifts, but two days in a row?? Odd. Not only that but I have no idea what the Trading post even looks like since I haven't even stepped foot in the building for around 3 months! lol!
Oh, not to mention they start at 6.15am. Ergh. "Welcome back!" No wonder I was so keen to get away inthe first place! hat means I have to wake up around 4am each day. -.- Funnnn...
...and the I have two Star Wars shifts!
Annnnyway!
Happy Mothers Day to everyone! Well, to Mothers, I guess. ...and hope you had a good Happy Mothers Day for those living in the future on the other side of the world. :P
Yesterday I had a day off. I actually just chilled out most of the day. I started decorating for our Princess party this wednesday too.
Yes, we are having a Princess Party (apparantly even if you work for the Mouse you can still not get sick of it all) this wednesday. It's a delayed birthday party for myself and the two other flatmates who had birthdays in April (mine was the 13th and that's when I turned 21). :)
I also went to see Fantasmic with my roomies in the evening. It was awesome. Love that show! We also managed to get on Tower of Terror several times before the show. That ride is always so fun. :D
Today I worked in Germany. It was good. Just helped the guests, took in the wonderful sun and talked to my cast friends. I loved listening to one of my cast friend's life story. It was interesting, inspiring and scary at the same time! Everyoe has such interesting life stories at Disney! Ask us! You'll be surprised I think. ;)
Tomorrow I stock. Which is WEIRD! I have never been given a stock shift and now they give me one!? Very strange. But I am looking forward to it. I ove stocking and usually I stock anyway regardless of whether I am officially assigned to it. haha
Thursday all Flower and Garden cast members are invited to Beaches and Cream. So nice. Looking forward to that. Everyone is so nice. Festivals always have the nicest cast memebers! Going to miss that crew.
Staaaaar Wars! I got some pretty nice shifts! One is 10am-8.30pm and the other is 2pm-8pm. :D Guess that makes up for the early shifts at CBR. Yes, I think Star Wars is going to be my saviour to makes CBR more bareable (and it's not the people, it's the boredom).
I am also planning to Go to the Tampa Bay Rays vs the Yankees baseball game on the 17th! I haven't been to a baseball game before so I am kind excited. ...and I know who the Yankees are too! haha.
...and as well as that I am also going to see Shrek the musical (awesome how I can see so many musicals here!!) on the 19th. Somehow my schedule worked so I could do both. :D
It will be miracle if I can also go to Busch Gardens...
It's all about the experiences. ...and I am lapping them up. Yup.
Life is a set of expereiences. ...and I love it and want to have as many as I can!
Have a meeting with a Disney rep in June. Hopefully it will mean I get some good news, but will keep ya'll posted. :)
Anyway, I'm off to the gym and then I'm going to clean a bit and then maybe later I might go to Jellyrolls! :)

Which sillyband do you want? *puppy eyes*
Hey ya'll :)
So Flower and Garden Festival is almost over. Which makes me kinda sad because I will miss the day shifts and my friends there. ...and the better bus and costume.
My next schdule will have CBR shifts on it. :( Such a depressing thought. I can barely stand to think about the idea of going back there. Going to be bored out of my mind....
But at least I have Star Wars to look forward to! I am hoping I get to do lots of those shifts because they are just going to schedule me where I am needed on the Friday, Saturdays and Sundays that it is on).
Yesterday I worked a day shift in Canada. It was great. We were even super busy so the time flew by! The weird thing was that it was a Thursday so we were at a loss as to why we had so many people sending packages!
I even kind of enjoyed my few hours at Gogo. That's because I managed to entertain myself with a more challenging version of hopscotch and with a mind game I created. :) Gogo is what you make it my leader said, and I guess she is right!
Today I was -meant- to be in Germany. But I think my co-ordinaor misunderstood me because I turned up and found out I was in Japan. -.-
I amhardly in Japan but its kind of like Gogo in that its not very exciting. I get bored there pretty quick. Also you are kind of a loner there...except when the vendor is there.
So for the morning I was in an angry/upset mood. It was like there was a grey cloud around me but I coudn't get rid of it. Maybe the dreary weather didn't help either?
I eventully cheeredup during the day. Little things helped. Like the cute guests (OMG made friends with the cutest little boy yesterday who gave me a Toy Story sillyband!! Aweeee <3 hugs!) and the afternoon zone checker who always seems to find me amusing. :)
Lots of fun (though more expensive :( ) events coming up lately at Disney Housing. I really want to do the Busch Gardens day, but I am unsure if I will get the day off since it was denied on the HUB and it would be at CBR. I don't know the CBR merch crew that well since I am barely there so uh... makes it hard to give away/swap...
There's also Shrek the Musical and a major baseball game. But they all cost over $40!
Tonight my roomies wanted to go to Publix to go grocery shopping ( I swear this happens a few times a week). That place is way too dangerous. I always buy so much. XD lol.
Can I just say I re-discovered a love of crumpets?!?! ...and tomorrow I am going to try make english muffins with egg and thick ham. ...but if that fails maybe eggs on toast? I am sure I can manage that. ...but I reeeally want to figure out how to use my egg poacher (the one in NZ is so much easier! Same with the kettles/jugs!)!!
I have a day off tomorrow. I really want to make the most of it but I am not sure how?! What should I do with myself???
I have done all the Disney Resorts (yes, I did Old Key West and Saratoga the other day - both super pretty, probably like Old Key West better though). I have done all the themeparks multiple times (though MK I haven't been to in a while).
My roomie went to the post office for me (yay for not having to wake up super early).
I guess I could read and lounge here? But that seems unproductive to me.....
I heard that horseriding is cheap for cast members at the moment? So I guess I could check that out or something?
Hmm.
Will think on it.
Night ya'll
xx
End note:
OK. My roomies are obsessed with (and are therefore driving me a little crazy with - love them still <3 - )this sentance:
"the awkward moment when...[insert random phrase. eg "everyone stares creepily at me in silence"
...so maybe you can get as much entertainment out of it as them...? Have fun ya'll :P

Soon to say goodbye
Heeeeey!
Today marks 2 months until I will leave Florida and Disney.
It's a sad thought because I love it here and I've adapted to the life here. I have even adapted to the weather. Can you believe it? I can handle the heat now. I can work in it and survive. Sure, I get a lot of headaches and I constantly fan myself on really hot days...but when I left NZ I didn't even think I would be able to handle it!
...and now I am scared that I won't be able to handle the cold in NZ again! (it's a really horrible thing to think about. ....but I only have to deal with it for 1.5years to finish my degree and then I can move!)
But onto life here lately.
I love being friends with the Soarin' people. They always have food, and they offer it to me. haha. ...but I don't eat it all since it's usually cake and too much cake is not so good...
The other day I had a great conversation with a lady whilst I was bored at Gogo. It was great to hear about her life and travels. I quite enjoyed it.
...and on the subject of Gogo, it's been through a revolutionary change. All brought on by the use of ice. Yes. Gogo actually sells things now. Crazy!
The other day I finally managed to sort my cheque out! Yes, a place call Amscot actually helped me. A miracle really. Quite like that place. Everyone else wasn't helpful at all.
Last night was the FORMAL. :D
It was really nice. ...and having all my roomies and quite a few friends there was great. Made it much more fun than the other Disney formal last year.
It was well themed to villans and the food was good (similar to last time though). It's alwayss the music that bothers me though! Yes, they had a lot of good music, but then they repeated everything! Maybe they only had 2 hours worth of music planned and then they pressed repeat?!
I love my roomies. We all went together and took pics together and it was just so darn cute! Like the Ball in NZ. :P ..and it was nice to have a guy to go with too.
The Formal had some weird moments...
Like when a drunk girl sat on my purse and was practically passed out.
...and when I said hello this guy I thought I knew but didn't turned around. He started to be like "heey! *hug*" but then stopped and was like "why are you?" lol. It was sliiightly embarrassing. But he helped make it less akward by being like "oh! Random! High five!"
So many people were intoxicated....
How is that even fun? If you can't enjoy or remember it why do people do it?
Today was my day off (and I have saturday off too...very odd). I had a great time. I had to wake up early for an exclusive Animal Kingdom tour after having a late night, but it was worth it. :)
We got told about a lot of history and went to a few places I had never been to before on my AK days!
After I got home and had relaxed a bit I decided to go resort hopping. ...to see the last 2 resorts I hadn't explored!
The bus ride takes foreverrrr. So glad I don't work at one of those resorts! I mean CBR is far away but this seemed a lot further...
Old Key West and Saratoga Springs are super pretty. I can see why people opt to be DVC members. The places are super laid back and relaxing.
Random thing of the day:
The Patterson security guards are awesome. I think they are so much more friendly and entertaining.
Only a week and a bit til Flower and Garden is over! Super sad because I am quite fond of the people who work it. ...and it's nice working outside at Epcot. :)
Oay, off to bed :)

Luck is going my way, for a change.
Aloha :)
So I've been kind of lucky lately. Only one thing has gone against me, but I can still make up for it somehow at another time...
Tonight for example I was walking home from Publix. I had gotten more than I probably should have and was have a hard time carrying it all. Luckily though, a friend of mine appeared as I walked around the corner and he helped me carry it all home. :)
I seem to be getting days off that I like as well, and next weeks schedule is all mornings. :) ...and even though I have Gogo shifts, I guess I can handle them for the last week of the festival.
I got accepted to participate in STAR WARS weekeds!!! Wooo! Super excited about that! :) Look it up online - it's super popular.
Oh and the Star Wars ride re-opens. It's supposed to be 3D and very good. Am hoping I get to ride it...
Today after work I went and got a coktail after work at France. It was pretty good. Actually it didn't taste like alcohol, so could be dangerous.... However, it was so nice to walk aroudn Epcot after work with a cocktail. :) May have to do it again...
Tomorrow is the formal, after work I just have to come home and get ready. :D I love fun events, yay!
....it's getting close to when I have to go back to NZ... :( It's going to be an interesting and scary new chapter, that's for sure.
OK, got to go.
xx
Take take ya'll
